In 2024, we introduced many exciting updates to our cloud-based energy management software, Gazebo, with new branding and enhancements that benefit our commercial and industrial users across North America. 

The entire Gazebo team would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of you. As knowledgeable and dedicated members of the Gazebo community, your continual feedback and enthusiasm have been invaluable in helping us refine and improve our energy management software. 

As we look forward to future opportunities for Gazebo in 2025, let’s first reflect on the noteworthy changes our energy management software experienced in the past twelve months. 

 

Gazebo Rebranding 

In 2024, our award-winning energy management software underwent a refresh and rebrand. Originally launched in 2012 as Energy Sensei, the platform has received a new name, updated messaging, and a more polished visual identity. This evolution inspires a deeper connection with audiences dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint and driving meaningful energy savings. 

 

Savings Ledger Enhancements  

Gazebo’s Savings Ledger assists energy management programs in forecasting and tracking year-end savings claims. Delivery teams have reported that it can reduce reporting time by 50%! This year, we have expanded its functionality to offer additional forecasting methods for savings throughout the duration of a program. Whether utilizing an energy model or project calculations, Gazebo provides the flexibility needed to meet your program’s requirements in a consistent and defensible manner. 

 

Dynamic Project Savings Graphs  

Users can now easily track and visualize their project milestones and achievements over time with the newly introduced Savings tab in the Projects section, in addition to annualized and manual options. This clarity in visualization enables teams to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to maximize energy savings and project impact. 

 

Energy Use Intensity (EUI) Table  

Commercial sites can improve their energy consumption results by embracing the newly introduced Energy Use Intensity (EUI) metric in Gazebo. This powerful tool provides invaluable insights so you can compare your current energy usage to baseline usage and uncover opportunities for improvement.  

 

Model Export Improvements  

Enhanced graphs and comprehensive statistics provide clear end-of-year insights and reduces time for implementers and evaluators. These improvements aim to deliver an overview of performance metrics, fostering better decision-making and strategic planning. 

 

Streamlined Project Persistence Tab 

If your complete project does not require a persistence strategy, set the Backsliding Risk to “N/A,” and move to your next project!
